Shalag Group has opened a new state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in South Hill, VA. This investment will create 52 new jobs and significantly enhance its production capacity, reinforcing its commitment to serving its U.S. customer base with high-quality nonwoven fabrics.
Shalag’s cutting-edge 3D Hybrid technology combines aperturing and embossing to achieve the ultimate haptic experience, delivering unparalleled softness, strength and absorbency. This technology is ideal for a wide range of applications. The company’s Softy topsheets and Cuddly backsheets are produced using advanced air through bonded technology, ensuring superior softness, breathability and more. These products are perfect for baby care, feminine hygiene and incontinence products.
Featuring unparalleled softness, Softy and Cuddly are also available in the AIR version. Crafted with an innovative blend of ultra-fine fibers, these products deliver exceptional comfort and visual appeal.
Outside of hygiene, Shalag offers high-efficiency, through air bonded carded nonwovens that are perfect for filter media used in HVAC systems and other air handling applications. These filter media are designed to reduce indoor pollutants, improve air quality, provide excellent stability and strength all with low air resistance and availability in multiple colors.
